ABOUT ME
WELCOME
Hello, I'm glad you're here! It's an honor to work with each individual, walking on their journey of hope and healing. I see adults, children, teens, and their families, and use a collaborative approach, based in attachment and family systems theories. I use therapy modalities that combine to heal the whole self, including EMDR, Lifespan Integration, CBT, Theraplay, Sand Tray, and Safe & Sound Protocol. Together, we will find what works best for you. Life has given me unique insight into trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, adoption, transracial families, and special needs. In my free time I like to relax at the library, camp with my family, and find the best bubble tea in the Pacific Northwest.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
It's been a privilege to spend my life working with toddlers, children, adolescents, and adults in the fields of mental health, child welfare, adoption, foster care, and early childhood education. I attended Portland State University and received my Bachelor of Science in Child & Family Studies; my Master of Social Work; and a post-graduate Certificate of Adoptive & Foster Family Therapy. In addition I am a TBRI (Trust-Based Relational Intervention) Practitioner. I am licensed as a clinical social worker in the state of Oregon and currently take the following insurance: Anthem Blue Cross, Pacific, Moda, First Choice, Cigna, Providence, United, and Oregon Health Plan (Care Oregon). I also offer a sliding scale to those in need.
